Creating a Seamless Connection from Social to Email

Sarah’s homeschool startup, Gulf Coast Scholars, was already thriving.

We had the social media rhythm down, and the community was growing—but as any founder of a 50+ student program knows, social media isn't always the best place for vital updates. Sarah needed a direct line to her parents for class schedules, new activity launches, and personal messages from her heart to theirs.

🔗 The Missing Link: A Direct Touchpoint

While social media is for discovery and joy, email is for connection and clarity. We needed a way to ensure that parents never missed a "Wild Sprouts" update or a registration deadline.

To make this happen, I integrated her workflow using Mailchimp and Class Dojo as our central CRM hubs. This allowed us to keep the parent database organized and ensure the right messages were hitting the right inboxes at the right time.

👩🏾‍🎨 The Design: Consistency is Key

There is nothing worse than a brand that looks beautiful on Instagram but feels like a "plain text" chore in the inbox. I designed every email campaign to be a visual extension of our social media work.

  • On-Brand Aesthetics: I used the same vibrant color palettes, playful fonts, and high-energy imagery we captured during our content days.

  • Cohesive Storytelling: Whether a parent was scrolling their feed or opening their morning email, the experience felt identical.

  • User-Friendly Layouts: We kept the information "snackable"—easy for busy homeschool parents to skim and take action.
